The Carpentry and Paints Department is concerned with developing sensory and mental skills, and providing the trainees with some professional skills tailored for each of them according to their capabilities, taking into consideration the development of these capabilities to the maximum possible level.
Students are trained to combine mental and muscular abilities at the same time in a consistent harmony while working.
The carpentry department is also interested in producing some simple craft items that require the intervention of the trainees to feel the value of the final product and be trained to deal with the public. The department is also concerned with selling products so that there is income for the trainees through exhibitions that support the people of determination. Also, the use of equipment, tools and machines is considered as exercises to strengthen the muscles of some trainees. Paying attention to precautionary measures is a priority, including security and safety requirements, and wearing special clothes for work including gloves and safety glasses.
